Merry Meet and Merry Part, at Samhain the wheel does start.
A whole new year we now embark; the mind is cleared, and whole the heart.
Though the last year has been hard, it would appear I’m still a bard!
And as I ring the new year in, I want to share thoughts from within.
The God is dead, the Lady old, and so we learn from stories told;
Fear not death for you should know, that Summerland is where you’ll go.
And should you bore of that green place, a whole new life does you await.
For rebirth is another choice, for another chance, just use your voice.
The wheel it turns to Samhain now, will you be celebrating? How?
Perchance a pumpkin lights the way, of those lost or want to stay.
Maybe into the future peer, to ward off those unknown fears.
Or invite the elders round, to share a supper on even ground.
For now’s the time, the veil is thin, so open your hearts, let your loved ones in.
Though always there, now is the time, to meet again and share your wine.
Remember first the Wiccan Rede, before you hurt in word or deed.
Eight words only, learn them well, and celebrate with food and spell.
