100 Word Challenge: The extreme weather

January 22, 2013 Mrs TeePot

As she sat on the terrace, looking out at a beautifully blue ocean with the sun sitting above it she wondered what the extreme weather meant for those in her country of birth.

She saw images of snowmen, stories of loss of heating and snow days, but it was all such a long way away, so far from the warmth and peace that she basked in. So removed from the feeling of sand in her shoes and warm breeze around her.

“I hope it improves for them soon” she thought as she slipped into a dream, lying on her sunbed.
